A good system, allows any business to organize its data as close as possible to the way it operates. With AutoShopOffice, we want business owners and managers, to have full control of the entire organization by providing an efficient structure within the system.
Organization
To start using AutoShopOffice, the first step is to create an Organization.
What is an Organization?
An organization in AutoShopOffice is a business or a legal entity. So regardless if a business owner owns multiple shops or just one, an Organization in AutoShopOffice is equivalent to a company.
How to Setup your Organization
On your menu bar, go to ADMINISTRATION and scroll down to Organizations.
You’ll be able to view all Organizations created in the system and pertinent information relating to each. Click on New to Create New Organization.
Supply the necessary information and click on Add Organization.
Once you have created your new Organization, you’ll see it on the list and you’ll be ready for the next step which is adding new Locations.
Locations
Whether you are a small business owner or a large company with multiple branches, the system allows you to scale up your business by quickly adding Locations.
What is a Location?
Locations are physical branches or stores under one legal entity/company or Organization. So as you Organization grows and expands, the system allows you to add Locations as fast as you open new branches.
Adding locations
To add a location, go to ADMINSTRATION and scroll down to Locations
You’ll be able to view all Locations created in the system and pertinent information relating to each. Click on New to Create New Location.
Supply the necessary information and click on Add Location.
For large enterprises or brands that operate in a franchise environment, Organizations and Locations will be useful. Each franchisee, being a separate legal entity, can be setup as an organization in the system later on having one or multiple locations under it. The bigger the franchise, the more organizations are created.
As a franchisor, visibility on all your franchisees’ data and information can be very critical on how to provide better support to the entire network.
